Why are people so ignorant about circumcision?
They are NOT the exact same thing. In different countries female circumcision can be removal of the clitoral hood to total removal of the external female genitals. It is NOT the clitoral hood that is removed in most instances. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_genital_cutting
