Will a Royal mail delivery arrive on a Saturday?

I ordered something off eBay (Royal mail 1st class recorded) on Wednesday, the seller dispatched it Thursday, will it come next day and if not, can it be delivered on a saturday or do I have to wait for It to be delivered on that Monday?
