Parents imposing the wedding they want on us?

Since we first started wedding planning both our parents have imposed their wedding ideas on us and it has got to a point they are hijacking our wedding. It is different from what everyone else seems to go through, other people's parents seem to want bigger and better for them but ours keep trying to downplay our wedding plans and convince us to go cheaper and smaller than we are. It really hurts my feelings. It is like they are saying we don't deserve anything nice and they have really stepped on our toes with their ideas. My parents put a lot of pressure on us to just have a backyard pizza party and forget a more traditional wedding and his parents have been telling the guests to dress less than casual or in costume and to not expect much. This has been going on for a long while and we have talked to each of our parents but it doesn't stop. Our wedding is already pretty small and on a budget so it's hard to have all this pressure to make things cheaper, it's not possible. Has anyone else experienced this? It is causing us a lot of stress just would be interested to know how others handled the same situation.

Need Help With A Story I Am Writing!!!?

The story I'm writing opens with a young boy watching a news report about a serial killer who has committed another crime, once again and police still have no leads to the last murder. The 15 year old boy asks him mom if he is going to come after them. She replies with a simple no. Little do they know, the killer has been hiding evidence around their house. The only problem is I can't start the story without the opening scene of the news report. How exactly do I do that? What things should I include to make it sound some-what chilling and disturbing. Also, any ideas for a "nickname" for the killer (ex: Seattle Slayer [from 88 minutes, I think or something like that], Jigsaw Killer [Saw movie series], etc.)

Are personal info records of police department employees removed?

Someone who used to work dispatch at a police department told me that they told a potential employer that they wouldn't be able to find any info on them when they did a background check b/c when you work, or have worked for a police department, whether dispatch, staff, or officer, all of your personal records and information (like address, property tax, etc) are removed or restricted from public searches. They said this was in an effort to keep people that might have vengeful motives from finding out information about them . While this seems logical if you are a current employee, how would it be possible to keep future information about that person from coming up in public searches? Pizza Hut Delivery Driver mileage reimbursement......?

I am a delivery driver for Pizza Hut. The store I work for is not franchise owned, it is owned by Pizza Hut, i.e. corporate. Recently, corporate changed our pay rate to a "tip credit" in which we are paid $3.00 less than minimum wage while we are dispatched on a delivery. While I understand this is completely legal as I have done my own research, I am little concerned about our mileage reimbursement as we use our own vehicles and always have. (Mileage reimbursement remains the same as it was before the tip-credit pay change). Pizza Hut charges a delivery fee of $2.00 to the customer for each delivery. Pizza Hut tracks our mileage at a set 4 miles per delivery. However, drivers are never asked to report their actual mileage at the end of shift, it is a set 4 miles per delivery. Of the $2.00 that is charged to the customer per delivery, we receive $1.35 of that as reimbursement. If I do my math correctly, $1.35 divided by 4 miles equals 33.75 cents per mile. As we use our own vehicles for deliveries, the Federal standard for mileage reimbursement is 51 cents per mile. Obviously, 51 cents multiplied by 4 miles is more than the entire $2.00 delivery charge, meaning something doesn't add up. Is it legal for Pizza Hut to only reimburse us 33.75 cents per mile when drivers are not asked to report their actual mileage and are using our own vehicles? Is it also legal that a set-in-stone $1.35 be reimbursed to drivers per delivery or should this be done based on the Federal rate of 51 cents per miles based on actual mileage? And because we are never asked to report our actual mileage, we do not keep record of this as Pizza Hut has record of it, recorded at 4 miles per delivery. My understanding would be that if Pizza Hut records our mileage at a set 4 miles per delivery, we should be reimbursed $2.04 per delivery. I keep a spreadsheet which shows my tips, reimbursement, total amount of hours, total number of deliveries, etc. since I started with the company in February of this year. Do I have a case to seek reimbursement for the 69 cent difference in reimbursement ($2.04 minus $1.35) multiplied by the total number of deliveries I have had since I began with the company?

Maybe you should gather up the team and propose an idea to your coach. The idea of everyone learning how to fly, base, backspot, and even frontspot for baskets. This way everyone can do everything and everyone will be equal. This is the idea our coach had for us....i can do everything but fly cause im scared...the funny thing is im the second shortest on the team. :p but yea you cand learn different stunts in different spots and the good thing is that if anyone is absent or sick or gone at a game or something, any girl can fill in because they would kno how to do it...and another good thing is so that you dont get attatched to your stunt group because if one IS absent someone has to fill in and you dont want to be like "ohh we arent used to her backing or baseing our stunt" so i thought thiss might help with your coach problems...just ask if you could do this as a team and everyone can learn to fly!! :D hope i helped! :)

I'm gonna go out on a limb and sort of stick up for the boyfriend. Not everyone is fond of hospitals, in fact some people are downright scared of them. He may have been nervous seeing the baby in the hospital in the NICU or even scared by it. Sometimes men don't show emotions well and do things differently than we would. Maybe he was even sort of "preparing" himself in case something went wrong and the baby didn't make it by not getting too involved. It seems like you are BOTH being immature. I mean why did you lock yourself in the room? Were you really afraid he was going to hurt you? Because if that's the case, then by all means, stay away from him. But if it was just a little bit of a childish act, then you're to blame a little, too. And he's right-- Just because he didn't do a good job in the first few weeks of her life does not mean that he shouldn't have any contact with her now. He is STILL her father. As far as the money situation, that sounds like a whole other conversation. If you two are going to try & work it out, you need to sit down with him and talk about money.

I think that anyone entering into another country to live, should try to adopt same cultures as that country. There seems to be a lot of people coming into this country unwilling to learn the English language, I am upset by this because I am now forced to learn a different language to keep my job. When my father migrated here decades ago he learned the English language fast he had to. Out of the three, I like the third the best. It shows she's no coward, really, and eventually she'll have to learn about it and that could definitely make an interesting scene. Also, I believe that because the antagonist has taken over while she is gone, that would be an upper hand advantage for him. He could turn the whole city or something against her, make them believe things that aren't true etc. etc. Maybe not as cliche as that but good enough. =P

TOTAL SCAM - Here is my reasoning - I bought Ugly Betty complete series from them within the last 2 weeks. There are 22 discs in the set, of which 8 of them do not work! I tried to get the company to replace the items but they only have offered me $10 USD and I can keep the items...why would I want an incomplete set? I told them (through email as its the only way to contact them) that there were only 2 options - 1. Replace the items that do not work with ones that do. OR 2. Refund my order in total & I would ship the items back so they could investigate. They have not gotten back to me once I told them this. My bank will let me dispute the charge in order to get my money back but I have to be in the process of mailing it back to DVDboxroom. The catch is that there is no address on their website so I don't know where to send it back to. Also, as an aside, the cover on the set says Seasons 1-5 but there are only 4 seasons of Ugly Betty. Plus the discs are inserted into foam dvd inserts - these are absolutely NOT collectors items. And the discs have pictures from incorrect seasons on them. Plus when I have received emails back, their English is really poor. When I went to the website to review my item, in hopes that they wouldn't like what I had to say & would rectify the situation, the review only emails them again & does not post on the website. They then offered me $20 & I could keep the item. I am waiting on their answer to my 2 choices or on them giving me their address so I can send the items back. Ok so my moms been a royal pain in the butt(you know I didn't really want to use that word) for the past year. I personally think she has some sort of problem going on with her. Now give me the damn phone.' since I was being such a bit** about things I decided I'd call for her because personally i didn't want her anywhere near my phone. So i call and change the movie back on (after her permission of course) and deciding to be nice so she won't have to change back and forth between her show channel and my movie I look up on the tv guide what time the show starts. It clearly showed that It would start at 9:30pm but it said something off to the side about 9:05pm. So she says it starts at 9:05 and I say no it said 9:30. Anyway I change it back to the movie deciding to let it go and just change it back at 9:05 so she can check. I'm trying to watch the movie when not even a minute later she asks(more like demanded) where the nail polish case is. Now I haven't used it for over a month but since I was the last one to use it I should clearly know where it is. Somewhat fed up by now I grumbled out an 'I don't know.' because I really don't know. And she goes completely ballistic. Yelling at me saying "You little bit**!!!! You do know where it is!! You fuc*ing used it last!" She calms down after a minute or two and since its already 9:05 i decided to just change the channel to her damn show channel and go to my room. So I change it and her shows not on but she has to of course say while I'm walking out 'the previous shows just not done yet.' Like i even cared in the first place. So I was in my bedroom for a grand total of 5 mins when her show does come on. And of course she has to rub it in my face my yelling "Hey (my name) my show did come on!! Did you hear me!? (my name!?)" She was going to keep going until i answered her so I gave in and yelled out a yes. Her friend then comes over and when she asks where I am what does my bit** of a mother say? That I got angry at her for being right about the television show and went to my bedroom! WTF!? Am I the only one seeing that she has something going on with her? This isn't even the first time and this was one of our best interactions too. She's called mewhite trashh for dressing up boyishly when going to play tennis. hello there. im 15 years old and for the past months ive been having a lot of anxiety attacks and getting scared of things WAY too easily (like weird faces and ghosts stupid stuff like that :P) i don't find this normal at all especially because i am not a person to get scared easily. and i get very paranoid and worried about things too much D: e.g. i let my bird out of his cage and he hops on the floor sometimes and a lot of times when people aren't even that close to him i tell them "BE CAREFUL" and i think of too many disturbing things a lot (aliens, ghosts and so on) and i start getting anxiety and sometimes i can't even sleep because im scared. i pray to god a lot and that helps me and i feel better.but the next day (at night especially) i start having paranoia and and anxiety when i hear the SLIGHTEST noise (e.g. waterfall from fish tank filter, fridge making re-cooling someone walking stuff like that) also when im trying to fall asleep and when i hear those things mentioned above i always look at my hallway for like 5 minutes each time i hear it (thinking someone broke into my house even when the doors are locked) i get angry at myself a lot because i think about it and it's SO STUPID! i always feel there's a peeping tom around (which there is NOT) and i close my blinds to the MAX and i stay away from the window. not to mention last month i went to disneyland and i was TERRIFIED on going on the thunder mountain railroad D: and i ALWAYS go on that ride! and i was so scared and i started having an anxiety attack and i spent 45 minutes till i finally went on it! also i watched an alien movie a month ago (i think this is what started it all) and i actually thought that it was all going to happen..? and i know it's not going to happen. but i still get scared. im a drummer and i have my cymbals and drum equipment in the living room and i get worried someones going to scratch my cymbals and step on my equipment and break them. when im in the car with my mother and i start talking about a lot of issues going on in the world and creepy things (which is not often) i start getting a panic attack and my jaws start jittering D: i am sorry for such a long story people. this is not normal and im SOOO dang tired of living this way it's been far too long and i want to put an complete end to it already.please help me

You need to quit with the crazy home remedies for one - none of them work unless you consider them killing your dog as getting rid of the problem! I know you are probably at your wits end and I know, I have been there and I have worked in the veterinary field for a very long time. Demodex can be very hard to treat especially if your dog has an immune disease of some kind, which is extremely likely given everything you have said. Some veterinarians have mistakenly used steriods when treating secondary skin infections while still treating for demodex - if you were also using a steriod during ivermectin treatments you were doing no good as the steroids suppress the immune system further actually making the demodex worse. The only breeds that have Ivermectin sensitivity (usually) are Collie type breeds. It is more likely that just the MITABAN dips were causing the illness your dog was having during the extensive treatment. I would try the Ivermectin by itself and see how that affects your dog. Your dog really needs to be on Ivermectin treatment daily until you have two (2) NEGATIVE skin tests. (Your dog needs to see the vet on a monthly basis to have these tests done). Because bulldogs also tend to have severe allergies if your dog has developed any secondary skin infections due to allergies it needs to be on antibiotics as well. Demodex can take up to 4 months to treat and sometimes even longer depending on how many other skin issues you have along the way. Stress can cause setbacks and should be avoided. Since surgical procedures put a dent in the immune system you are right in not having her spayed or the cherry eye removed until her skin has cleared up. She needs to have a balanced diet so I'm not sure what you mean by "human grade" but she needs to be on a higher end dog food (you know, the expensive ones). Advantage Multi is a heartworm/flea medication that should be applied monthly - it also helps to treat demodex. I know you are using ivermectin daily - it will not interfere and will not overdose your dog on heartworm medication - I apply it to my dog every 3 weeks. Do not give up. Talk to your veterinarian about having your dog tested for immune system disorders. My dog is affected and once diagnosed treatment was a lot easier because we knew what we were dealing with. My dog is 7 now and she has been on ivermectin daily since she was 3 years old. Her dose had to be adjusted to what worked for her. She only gets the vaccinations required by law as having them knocks her immune system down. She is bathed every 2 weeks with a 1% Ketaconozole Shampoo and NEVER goes outside our home or yard unless she's going to the vet for a needed visit. If she gets too hot she has flare ups also so she stays inside all the time and only goes out in mild weather or in the early morning or evening hours. My dog has NEVER had a negative demodex test. They are always present as her immune system can not get rid of them. I have been told that immune system disorders are not common. I'm just explaining my experience. In the veterinary world an English BullDog is called the "Trust Fund Dog" - because you will use it up if you have one. If she is your third BullDog and you have not had problems before now - you need to go buy a lottery ticket because you are LUCKY! The mitaban dips made my dog extremely sick too and were stopped. For example, I have a ex that always talks to me about her and her new boyfriend. She isn't really a happy person to begin with so I try to be nice. She likes to talk about our past and such and tells me she wants me back and so on so forth. My outright concern to this is, she had been asking me to do some things that would be offensive to the partner if they where ever to find out about such things. It makes me wonder, when I was with her. Is it that she is just simply not satisfied with life, or does she feel the need to always have someone besides the person she is with, to be interested in her romantically? As for many other people, why must people intrude in another life when they have dispatched of a relationship, attempting any means to make a persons life as miserable as they can possibly succeed at. Making there way into your family and friends trying to turn them against you, just to get back at you for treating them right.... It's very strange how people continue to do these things and how I am yet stupid enough to engage in a relationship without at least getting to see someones true colors first. Lately I have been doing of taking the time to get to know someone and it seems that now that I am older I wish to continue through life having as many civil relationships, or relationship as possible. I am not out to date and enjoy as many people as possible, I wish to just enjoy there company and most of all be able to laugh and have some fun, as well as trust that person. Without the worry of consistent games on a persons head. I have also done a good job of staying away from all the drama, but simple curiosity has always led me to wonder as to what brings on these means of behavior? I am also wondering if pursuing a romantic relationship at the age scale of 20 to 30 is a wise idea for I am not sure if I will be in this town for much longer due to the simple fact that I must pursue a job that pays well and in order to do such a thing I must also leave to attend to schooling. It is possible to get the schooling and acquire a job in this town I am currently at but do I really want to risk doing all of these things and giving up good opportunities for one person that may possible be here as well as my friends? Any opinions would be greatly accepted, but still my question about the head games remains as well. Is it wise to date people who play head games or is it wiser to just hold on tell the right person comes along? Is it better to jump or to take things slow and see if they are worth waiting for?

I used to take salsa classes with a very good teacher. He recently started dating one of his students. She now joins us during the class. It wouldn't bother me so much if it was subtle, but they joke with each other and she stares into his eyes. lol! It's uncomfortable! Maybe the guys feel different. I felt it was a distraction for me anyhow. He's not as focused on teaching, he's texting during class, and she even walked in during the middle of class, disrupting everyone, because they had a fight a few days before and she was trying to make up with him. My dad's all caps rage war?

lately my dad has been unusually aggressive he does not abuse any1 or anything, but he just rages very often and whenever me or my bro step out of line even unintentunaly he rages badly, and confiscates our equipment. yesterday he confiscated my mobile b/c i tripped and dropped a few papers he wanted. what had happened was he called me from outside about 6 inc out of the house and asked me to get a few papers from his briefcase i got them for him and steeped outside, but i did not have my shoe on so i could not go passed the yard. he was in the car just outside and on the phone i w8ed till he finished and said "dad i don't have my shoe on atm mind stepping out of ur car and taking the paper" he raged a bit (tbh i don't blame him) and asked me to go put on my shoe and come out, and i did but on the way i tripped and fell with the papers in my hand i quickly piled them back up and gave them to him (he ofc saw the papers falling) the papers where perfectly fine all that had happened was there was a bit of dust on the folder. he went into an all caps rage and confiscated everything including my phone the annoying thing is that it is the only phone in the house with my numbers i tried transfusing them but it will just take to long i have about 350 numbers in there and the thing that actually ticks me off is that he knows i can't go more than a day without my phone i don't text or anything but i generally get a lot of urgent calls from my friends my phone is also usually on silent so it does not disturb him and i payed for it as well 100% so yea im not rly sure what to do. i tryed talking to him but every time i did he just confiscated it for a longer period of time. im thinking of swiping his visa card as soon as he gets home (in-front of him ofc) and going to the nearest atm and jacking the phones money and putting it in my bank account and as soon as i get home ill tell him to keep the damn phone i don't want it anymore this is the exact 7th time he's confiscated my phone and in all previous 6 times ive missed out on a lot and he knows it.

Why should we care about Jesus Christ?

At the end, when you pass away, the only thing that will matter then will be either going to heaven (kingdom of god) or going to hell. This is assuming that the bible is true. But, in order to enter the kingdom of god one would need to submit to jesus christ and therefore what is written in the bible. That is, to not sin and pursue a relationship with jesus. But why I ask? Is the effort worthwhile? Or to put it into another perspective, is it really important that we not sin and hope that we are able to enter god's kingdom in the afterlife? I guess it depends on the person if that seems like a good idea, living in some kind of eternal bliss, then sure the effort spent will all be worthwhile. However, what if you don't really care if you enter hell or heaven. What if you don't feel afraid with the concept of hell or you don't feel amazed by heaven's perfection. Would you feel the same way with Jesus and not really care if this person saved us but what exactly did he save us from? Sin? So that we can enter his kingdom? Do we even care about that? I think the problem with the bible and for jesus as well is that there is too much emphasis on sin when, when you think about it, is just another term for rebellion. For me, what I currently care about most is how to have a fulfilling life in this world. Fulfilling. Enriching. The feeling you get when you feel that you are actually living. To downplay the teachings of the bible I think it is just another set of laws that does its best to govern the way we are ought to behave. Thank you for your suggestions Jesus but no thank you. Kingdom or no kingdom, I think I will live my own life. I don't need some person telling me what is right and wrong. I want to live an authentic life. Not contrived.

Do you think that just because people are of age, they are ready to have children.?

From personal experience I see that too many people that shouldn't have children are having babies like it's OK. I feel so sorry for the sorrow, and misfortunes these poor children have to go through just because young people think their grown,and it's b/c of people who think just b/c they can, they have children senselessly. I have learned through my own experience that I shouldn't have had children being that I was still trying to cope, and recover from a drastic childhood that I experienced and had no one to help me deal with. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't of had my children at the time I had them. I believe a lot of our hardships now is b/c of my lack of knowledge, wisdom, maturity, etc, etc, I was emotionally damaged, mentally confused, and disturbed. There is so much more that meets the eye to raising healthy children. If I had enough money I would become an advocate for children, trying to educate young people, to avoid, prevent, and think hard not to have children aimlessly. So many of us are not ready to bring another little people into this world that's all ready so challenging, and corrupted. Please try to Consider Adoption, giving your child to someone that can afford to give your child a better chance in life. Prevention, so not to bring in misery for everyone, including the child when you're not ready for the child. Think, think, think, not of yourself but for this innocent, helpless little human being that knows nothings of what's to come if you're not ready to bring them up as they so well deserve.
